Why I joined

I chose Sinn Féin because they truly listen to the people. They don’t just talk about change—they fight for it. In every community, in every conversation, I saw a party that understood the real struggles of living in Ireland today—the rising cost of living, the housing crisis, the pressure on families, carers, and workers who are barely getting by. Sinn Féin doesn’t shy away from these challenges; they take them head-on, standing with the people, not above them. I wanted to be part of a movement that puts fairness, justice, and opportunity at the heart of everything it does—because real leadership means delivering real solutions, and that’s exactly what Sinn Féin represents.

Join the Movement

Ireland is changing, and now more than ever, people deserve a government that truly understands them—one that listens, takes action, and stands up for fairness, equality, and opportunity for all. Sinn Féin is a movement shaped by the voices of ordinary people, by communities who believe in a better future and who refuse to accept that things cannot change.

For those who care about real progress—about making Ireland a place where young people can build a future, where families can afford a home, where carers and people with disabilities are valued, and where fairness isn’t just a promise but a reality—there is a space for you in this movement.

It’s not about politics; it’s about people. It’s about coming together to build the Ireland we know is possible. When people stand together, real change happens—and that’s what Sinn Féin is all about.

Kanturk / Charleville

Hanna Sheehy - Skeffington was an executive member of Sinn Féin, a socialist, activist and a founding member of The Irish Women’s Franchise League, an organisation campaigning for women’s suffrage, a feminist campaign to attain rights for women. The Irish suffrage movement was a progressive, republican movement that fought for equality as a 32-county united Ireland. The Hanna Sheehy Skeffington Cumann, intends to build on the success of the party nationally, advancing republican policies that reaffirm the 1916 Proclamation, that women like Hanna fought so eagerly for.
