My journey into politics is rooted in my own lived experiences and a firm belief that every voice deserves to be heard—especially those who are too often underrepresented.​ Born in Ukraine to migrant parents, I was raised in Millstreet, Co. Cork, where I learned the values of community, resilience, and hard work. My early passion led me to pursue a degree in Marine Engineering, but life took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn when I lost my brother in a tragic circumstance. That moment changed everything for me. It ignited a purpose far greater than myself—to stand up, to give back, and to create meaningful impact.

 

Determined to make a difference, I dedicated my career to tackling addiction and set up a social enterprise that has educated over 15,000 students nationwide on the impact of substance use. Over the years, my passion for social change has only grown stronger, leading me to work with various social enterprises and organizations that address some of the most pressing challenges in our society—from addiction to Parkinson’s disease. Through these experiences, I have gained invaluable skills and knowledge, always focused on driving real change where it is needed most.​

 

Now, as your senator, I am fighting for a fairer, more inclusive Ireland—one where every person, regardless of their background or circumstances, has a voice and the support they deserve. Change is not just a word; it’s a movement. It takes action, dedication, and a real commitment to the people. That’s what I stand for. That’s why I’m here. Together, we can build a future that truly works for all.
